WorkSafe (osh) Forklift Operator Competency Course and F Endorsement
What can I drive?
You can operate a forklift in the workplace with your WorkSafe certificate and on a road with your F endorsement. You do not need a drivers licence to obtain your WorkSafe certificate.
A Class 1 driver licence (with an F endorsement) covers forklifts with a gross laden weight of up to 18,000kg.
A Class 2 driver licence (with an F endorsement) covers forklifts with a gross laden weight exceeding 18,000kg.
The initial (new) is a one day course that consists of 4 hours of theory followed by the practical training/assessment session.
Courses are run every Friday at our premise’s at 59B Bond st Invercargill staring at 8.00am, turn at Southland Batteries corner and we are at the end of the street.
It is recommended that a refresher course is undertaken every three years from the initial full course date.
The refresher course is run every Friday starting at 2pm and consists of a theory test followed by a practical assessment. Evidence showing an initial or refresher course has been completed is required.
